SonChiraiya Where Rural Women Lead with Skill,Story and Strength

Our programs celebrate rural craftsmanship and women’s entrepreneurship. One such initiative, SonChiraiya, empowers women SHGs under the DAY-NULM scheme by the Government of Jharkhand. Through this program, SHG women were trained to make traditional sweets like Perokiya (Gujiya) with high hygiene standards and packaging support.

With strategic guidance and market linkage, these homemade delights reached international shelves, including exports to the USA. SonChiraiya is more than a product line—it’s a symbol of rural skill, women’s empowerment, and global reach. It reflects our mission to take local to global, one community at a time.

Branding the Flavours of Hills Divavi’s Journey with Gullak

As part of “Gullak”, an initiative by the Government of Uttarakhand, Divavi Gaon Ka Bazaar proudly engaged with rural entrepreneurs across the hills. This platform gave us the opportunity to interact directly with grassroots producers, understand their challenges, and co create solutions.

One highlight was our collaboration in the branding and marketing of Herbal Tea, the region’s renowned Badri Ghee and homemade Apple Chutney, crafted by local women using traditional recipes and fresh produce from Uttarakhand’s orchards. By refining packaging, storytelling, and market access, we helped turn this local delicacy into a market-ready product celebrating the flavours of the hills while empowering rural livelihoods through visibility and value.

Celebrating Rural Pride at Pusa Krishi

We were honoured to be part of the Agri Startup Conclave and Kisan Sammelan at IARI, Pusa Krishi, hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare. More than an event, it was a chance to connect with the real heroes the farmers, SHG Women, and rural entrepreneurs behind India’s most authentic products.

At Divavi Gaon Ka Bazaar, we helped them shine by offering hands-on support in packaging and branding, so their hard work could speak for itself. From the rich mustard oil of Rajasthan to Sundarban honey, Koraput’s coffee and lemongrass oil, Lakadong turmeric from Meghalaya, and A2 ghee from Uttarakhand every product shared a story of resilience, pride, and tradition.

Millets, Memories & Meaningful Change: A Journey with SHGs

When the Government of India declared 2023 as the International Year of Millets, it resonated deeply with our mission at Divavi. We engaged SHGs, FPOs, and rural enterprises rooted in millet traditions, offering hands on training in product development—cookies, namkeen, chocolates, and health drinks—and strengthening skills in branding and packaging.

The transformation was profound: women gained not just technical expertise but confidence and entrepreneurial identity. At global platforms like the G20 Agriculture Ministers’ Meeting, we proudly showcased these grassroots innovations. Beyond promoting millets, we are building sustainable market linkages, empowering rural producers, and bringing India’s rich agri heritage to the global stage.

A Journey with Nano Entrepreneurs: Small Steps, Big Dreams

Some journeys in life are deeply personal filled with stories, hopes, and the quiet determination of those trying to build something meaningful from the ground up. My involvement with the Swakalpa Sahajog Program, initiated by the Odisha Skill Development Authority in partnership with the World Skill Center and implemented by Palladium was a truly meaningful experience.

Supporting nano and early stage entrepreneurs in packaging and branding highlighted, how these elements can transform a product’s identity and market presence.  Packaging is more than just appearance; it’s about telling a story, projecting hard work, and giving a product its identity in the market. I witnessed the passion and resilience of first time entrepreneurs, many from modest backgrounds, gaining confidence as their business ideas took shape. This program is more than enterprise development—it is about enabling livelihoods, building capacity, and unlocking potential. Being able to walk this path with them even in a small way has been both humbling and inspiring.

Divavi Cafe – Where Farmers and Buyers Meet Beyond Exhibitions

Created to extend the impact of exhibitions and melas by offering a permanent platform for farmers, women led SHGs, and rural entrepreneurs to engage directly with urban buyers. Beyond a display space, it serves as a year-round hub for interaction, feedback, and collaboration. Here, rural producers showcase high quality products while gaining insights into consumer preferences, packaging, and innovation.

For buyers, it offers a deeper connection to the source enabling them to support authentic, purpose driven enterprises. Divavi Cafe is more than a marketplace; it is a space where meaningful relationships grow, bridging rural excellence with urban demand through trust and dialogue. At Divavi Startup Cafe, we are committed to celebrating the people who grow our food and craft our goods one conversation, one connection, one product at a time.

Bastar Coffee: A Brew from the Heart of the Forest

In the lush green hills of Darbha block, Bastar, a quiet transformation is taking root coffee, cultivated for the first time by tribal farmers, is blossoming into a symbol of hope. At Divavi Gaon Ka Bazaar, we are honoured to be a part of this journey. In partnership with the scientists and team at the College of Horticulture and Research Station, Jagdalpur, we crafted meaningful packaging solutions that reflect the soul of Bastar earthy, authentic, and full of promise.

More than just coffee, this initiative brings new livelihood opportunities for local youth, builds pride in indigenous knowledge, and opens doors for Bastar’s farmers to connect with national and global markets. Every cup of Bastar Coffee tells a story of resilience, revival, and rural pride.
