A Moment of Recognition on DD Kisan
Appearing on DD Kisan, a channel dedicated to the spirit of India’s farmers, was a deeply meaningful milestone in my journey as a startup founder. Sharing the story of Divavi–Gaon Ka Bazaar—my vision, challenges, and grassroots impact—on a national platform like Doordarshan was not just an honour, but a dream fulfilled.
This recognition affirms my mission to empower tribal farmers, SHGs, and rural entrepreneurs by connecting them to markets and creating livelihood opportunities through branding, packaging, and digital access. I am truly grateful to the IARI Pusa Krishi team for their guidance and support. From once watching changemakers on Doordarshan, to becoming one on DD Kisan, this journey reminds me that with purpose and persistence, every dream is within reach.
A Proud Milestone in My Journey as a Founder
One of the most meaningful moments in my entrepreneurial journey came, when Divavi–Gaon Ka Bazaar received an Appreciation Certificate from Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, Hon’ble Minister of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare. This recognition, during the inauguration of the Millets Experience Center at Dilli Haat, INA, was part of a national initiative organized by NAFED and MoA&FW under the banner of the International Year of Millets (IYM 2023).
Being acknowledged as one of the Best Startups for my efforts in promoting Shree Anna and developing value added millet products was more than an award. It was a moment of validation, not just for me, but for every rural producer we work with. From idea to impact, this recognition is a reminder that when passion meets purpose, change begins.
A Personal Milestone in Shaping India’s Millet Movement
Being invited by CSIR–NIScPR as a stakeholder in the Expert Review Meeting on the Millet Industry at IARI Pusa Campus was a deeply humbling and proud moment in my journey. Sharing the table with leading experts in research, policy, and the millet ecosystem marked a significant step from grassroots work with women SHGs and farmers to contributing to national-level conversations.
The meeting fostered rich dialogue on building resilient, nutrition driven, and sustainable millet value chains. This recognition reinforces my commitment to amplifying rural voices, strengthening local enterprises, and shaping policies that empower India’s millet movement from the ground up. Moments like this fuel my commitment to continue bridging rural enterprise with opportunity, and to ensure that voices from the grassroots find their place at the policymaking table.

This recognition means a lot. It reflects the trust placed in our efforts to support rural entrepreneurs, farmers, SHGs, weavers, and artisans by connecting them with meaningful market opportunities. Engaging with grassroots producers across the hills of Uttarakhand has been a deeply enriching experience.
