In a quiet village in Jharkhand, Anita Devi and 30 other women are reshaping what rural empowerment looks like—one nutritious ragi ladoo at a time. What started as a Self-Help Group training in healthy millet-based foods has become a flourishing enterprise rooted in tradition and community. Using locally sourced ragi, the women prepare delicious, nutrient rich ladoos packed with iron, calcium, and the warmth of handmade care. But making a great product is just the beginning. That is where Divavi–Gaon Ka Bazaar stepped in to support Anita and her team with packaging, branding, and market access.
We helped them design eco-friendly packaging, created a unique identity for their product, and connected them with urban consumers who value health, authenticity, and ethical sourcing. Today, their ladoos are reaching homes far beyond their village bringing both nutrition and livelihood to the women behind them.
Anita often says, “These ladoos are not just income they’re pride.” And she is right. Every sale supports not just her family, but the aspirations of 30 women who now see themselves as entrepreneurs. This is the mission of Divavi: to bridge the rural urban gap, and help women like Anita turn tradition into transformation.
